What your clients see
- Where each pay run is up to. A clear status for every pay run, from waiting for hours to ready for approval to complete.
- What you need from them. Outstanding requests such as hours, new starter details or an approval, with a due date.
- Documents in one place. Reports and files shared securely, instead of password-protected email attachments.
- Contracts and engagement letters. Their proposals and letters of engagement, ready to review and sign.
What your team gets back
Every "just checking where we are" email costs a few minutes to find, answer and file. Across a busy month-end that adds up to days. When the status is visible to the client, most of those emails never get sent, and the ones that do arrive as tickets linked to the right client.
Portal or payroll software portal: what's the difference?
Most payroll software includes an employer or employee portal for payslips, reports and data entry. That's useful, and you should keep using it. The Payroll Portal covers a different job: the bureau's service relationship with the client. It shows progress against the deadline, the requests you're waiting on, the queries in flight and the commercial side such as engagement letters and price reviews.
Three kinds of login, one system
Your bureau team, the employers you run payroll for and your accountant partners each get their own view. Accountant partners can have the portal under their own name, logo and colours. See the white-label portal for accountants.
Security and data
Data is held in UK and EU data centres, with each bureau's data kept separate. We'll publish our full security and data-processing details before any bureau goes live.
Questions
Does the portal track client approvals?
Yes. Each pay run shows when it's waiting for the client's approval, your team can set chase reminders, and clients see in their own login what's waiting for them.
Does it replace my payroll software's employee portal?
No. Keep using your payroll software's portal for payslips and employee self-service. The Payroll Portal is the bureau's client service layer: progress, requests, queries, documents and contracts.
Can I use my own branding?
Yes. The portal can carry your bureau's name and logo, and accountant partners can have their own branded version for the clients they refer to you.
